Ephox Launches EditLive! 7.6

New version delivers enhanced internationalization features and browser support for Google Chrome, Firefox 4 and Safari 5.1

PALO ALTO, Calif. — July 12th, 2011 — Ephox, a leading provider of content authoring and content analytics tools, introduced today a major upgrade to its web authoring solution, EditLive!.  Key highlights of the release, EditLive! 7.6, include support for an array of new browsers, enhanced internationalization features, major improvements to EditLive!’s rendering engine and significant enhancements to EditLive!’s collaboration functionality.

EditLive! 7.6 strengthens the product’s existing browser support with the addition of support for Google Chrome, Firefox 4 and above and Safari 5.1 and above for Apple OS X versions 10.6 “Snow Leopard” and the new 10.7 “Lion.”  New browser support is also available for Google Chrome on Linux operating systems.

The release also introduces enhanced internationalization features including new flexibility in creating content that includes right-to-left oriented text, such as Hebrew and Arabic. Content can now feature both right-to-left and left-to-right oriented content within the same document. Improvements to cursor positioning and extended character set support also make it easier to create documents in languages other than English.

Additional enhancements to EditLive!  include: Rendering engine improvements results in more accurate content, even when using complex styling and layouts. Styling and layouts imported from Microsoft Word are more true to the original document. New error handling for large documents ensures that users receive feedback when attempting to load or import a very large document (e.g. several hundred pages). Track changes enhancements more precisely capture content changes. Track changes, together with commenting features, make EditLive! an ideal environment for online content creation and collaboration.

With EditLive!, content authors can streamline their content strategy and get on the new road to content. EditLive! is designed for content authors who write content, not code. Ephox Strengthens Team to Respond to Market Growth

Johnny Mone joins Ephox as Director of Strategic Alliances. Before joining Ephox, Johnny was Senior Vice President for North America at Vamosa, a software provider for enterprise content governance. His 11 years of content management sales leadership is a logical and natural addition to the Ephox team. In particular, Johnny will focus on growing Ephox's support of the popular TinyMCE open source project.

As the new client relationship manager, Lisa Newsome ensures Ephox's hundreds of customers receive quality support. Lisa brings a decade of global business development and entrepreneurship. A former district manager for ADP and a business implementation consultant for Oracle, she recently founded, grew and sold a successful import and distribution start-up.

With a background in global business development and strategic sales, Ephox welcomes Paul Rosenfeld as its new director of channel sales. Paul has built successful technology companies for more than 25 years. He has secured multi-million dollar partnerships that have resulted in multiple company acquisitions and IPOs.
