Andrew is founder and CEO of Ephox, As CEO of Ephox, Andrew is responsible for Ephox’s strategic direction and execution. Andrew has been an entrepreneur for 15 years and on three continents. Prior to co-founding Ephox in 1999, Andrew helped start Webz, a web development company, and Home Computing Connections, a computer services provider targeted at consumers. After establishing Ephox’s Australian-based engineering team and leading the development of EditLive!, Andrew moved to Silicon Valley to establish Ephox’s headquarters. Since becoming CEO in 2004, Ephox has grown sales by more than 600%, increased profits more than ten-fold and developed key strategic partnerships. Andrew is on the entrepreneurial committee of the Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs (SVASE). Previously, he was a board member of Software Engineering Australia and the winner of a Young Australian of the Year Award.
Tim Thatcher SVP, Products & Strategy
Tim is the Senior VP of Products and Strategy, leading product management, product development, strategy, and strategic alliances for the Ephox business. He brings to Ephox a 29-year track record of excellence in the software and software services business. Prior to joining Ephox in 2010 Tim held a wide range of positions at IBM. His most recent executive roles included being the Director of Cloud Business Development Strategy for the WebSphere business, the Director of the Webify Solutions acquisition and the Director of Portal and Workplace Products for the Lotus division. Tim was also an early member of the team charged with defining and implementing IBM’s Java strategy.
Tom Smith VP, Sales & Business Development
As VP Sales & Business Develompent, Tom is responsible for Ephox’s worldwide sales and partner activities. Prior to Ephox, Tom was a strategic consultant with Global Apperture and his own Providence Place Ventures. During his career Tom has been the leader of a $140M IBM Global Services team with 250 staff, a managing director for the private equity group at Silicon Valley Bank and the executive in charge of the IBM Venture Capital Group for almost 6 years. Tom is adept at opening new markets and has extensive background in building partnerships between high-tech companies and multi-national corporations. And, just in case, Tom also has a top-secret security clearance.
Amy Chen VP, Finance & Administration
Amy is Ephox’s VP of Finance & Administration and is responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting, audit & tax, human resources and administration. She has over a dozen years of financial leadership experience in venture backed and closely held technology companies. Amy spent the last twelve years of her career as the financial leader at GeoSpot (location-based services), BeHere (next generation VOIP conference phones), iWin (casual games), Aftermind, and SeeUthere.com (now StarCite).
Dave Dabbah VP, Marketing
Dave leads the Marketing team at Ephox, where he is responsible for the strategic marketing and product marketing for Ephox and its growing product line. Dave brings over 15 years of marketing experience to the table and has been leading software marketing teams in the Silicon Valley for over 10 years. Prior to Ephox, he was VP of Marketing at Lyris, a public marketing automation company which is known for its email marketing, web analytics and content management solutions. While at Lyris Dave led the brand creation and launch of the company’s flagship service, Lyris HQ. Before Lyris, Dave was VP/GM of EmailLabs where he helped develop, launch and solidify EmailLabs as one of the top tier marketing Software-As-A-Service companies in the marketplace. For fun, Dave enjoys running and dreams of having the time to play golf.
Michael Fromin Director of Client Services
Michael is the Director of Client Services a 23-year industry veteran with a career spanning software and services at start-ups to the Fortune 500. At Ephox he manages our technical pre-sales, technical support, and professional services activities for customers, partners, and prospects of Ephox. Prior to Ephox, Michael was the practice director of Portal, Collaboration and Web Content Management at Ascendant Technology. Ascendant is IBM Lotus’ largest business partner in Portal and Web Content Management technologies. Prior to Ascendant, he worked in software and services at Process Stream Technology, dotLogix, ICI Acrylics, Sara Lee and Waste Management.
William Roberts Co-Founder
Bill, is a co-founder of Ephox and works with the operations team leading legal, HR and finance projects. He has over 25 years of experience in management consulting, corporate operations and business systems strategy. Prior to Ephox, William was a partner at Gibsons Group, business development manager at UniQuest, director at KPMG and director of strategic management consulting at Ernst & Young.
